I graduated with my Bachelor of Dental Surgery Degree in 2014. I received my license to practise dentistry after completing the National Dental Examining Board Canadian Equivalency Examination (NDEB Examination). I was one of the youngest internationally-trained candidates to ever pass this exam on the first attempt. I have worked as an Instructor at the Bredin Institute, training other international dentists, which is one of my passions. I am dedicated to lifelong learning through continuing education and consider it essential to keep current with newer concepts. I treat patients like I would treat the members of my own family, with a gentle and conservative approach to try to make each appointment comfortable, especially for those who have anxiety, fear or stress. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my loving son Fatehbir and husband Aman.
Peter Campbell graduated from the University of Alberta dental program in 1981 at the young age of 23. He started working as an associate dentist at Parkland Dental in Stony Plain almost immediately after graduation. He soon realized that his passion lay in the field of cosmetic dentistry so he joined the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He attended as many meetings, seminars, lectures and hands-on courses as he could in order to develop and improve his skills. He moved to Spruce Grove in 1998.
During recent years it seems that a serious need has surfaced to treat very fearful patients. Few dental offices locally were providing sedation dentistry, so Dr. Campbell made a commitment to obtain full certification in sedation methods and provide a much-needed service to the community.
Dr. Campbell is certified through the University of Alberta for nitrous oxide sedation as well as oral and single-drug intravenous sedation techniques. Because of that, we do not require the services of an outside anesthesiologist, which can increase costs significantly and limits the days sedations services can be offered. We provide all sedation services on our premises, for medically-suitable patients.
Dr. Campbell is currently certified from the University of Alberta for single-drug IV sedation, oral sedation and nitric oxide inhalation. He carries certification for ACLS (advanced cardiac life support) PALS, (pediatric advance life support), and BLS (basic life support). In order to provide treatment options in TMJ therapy, pain control, and smoking cessation, Dr. Campbell has been granted a Certificate in Medical Acupuncture through the University of Alberta (2013).
